Clan McClurg

Descended primarily from Scots-Irish and English ancestry, the McClurg family line retains old bonds of clan kinship and tradition. While not an official Scottish clan of itself, Clan McClurg celebrates connections to both Clan Chattan and Clan MacLeod and continues Old World traditions as a New World offshoot from old stock. Americans with a diverse ethnic story, we celebrate all our heritage and remember the strength of all our ancestors and never forget our roots.

Clan McClurg bestows upon all competitors at SCS competitions honorary membership in our Clan, aka, "The Stone Circle." To lift our stones is to honor our Clan.  And thus we honor you. The Clan McClurg tartan (known in the tartan industry as "All Ireland Green") reflects our roots in the Celtic world, and in its deep verdant tones, continues the theme of growth and continuity. We are proud to see our Clan grow and prosper and the many strong who wear our tartan with pride.
